US 991S Cab Order Delayed

I was told by my dealer that my order for a US 911S Cab was pushed back from March Build/April Delivery to April Build/May Delivery. They are saying it is because I switched options but I am having a hard time believing that is the case. My order won't be locked down until end of March. Has anyone heard about when Cabs will be coming to the US or if their order is similarly delayed?

Sorry about that...when did you finalize your order?

I finalized my order a few weeks ago but then Porsche came back a couple of weeks ago and deleted the rear tunnel in leather option since I am doing contrasting stitching and they will not allow contrasting stitching on the rear tunnel.

Sounds like it may be on the up and up.

Lets see what others say about their timing.

My dealer says they are bouncing around but I didn't ask about the cabs.

Congrats on your order. Sorry to hear about the delay but the time does go by very quickly. On the positive side it will allow your fellow brethren more time to mull over their options and perhaps switch to the S in case they haven't already done so.

All cars with deviated stitching have been delayed for 4-8 weeks. That is the reason. My 991S is one of them. Heard it straight from a PNA rep.

I ordered a 991S Cab in January with a February 21 build date. Car didn't get built until February 28th, but then it went on board the ship March 2 - I am told two weeks to the port in Rhode Island; then up to two weeks to reach the dealer. Expecting the car late March, early April. Guess I should consider myself lucky - no special leather, but car will be equipped with all the performance options except ceramic brakes.
