Ahhh, what a beauty! Loving platinum silver more and more each day. Wish I ordered mine in that color Originally Posted by chancludo

I'll shoot pictures with a real camera soon, but just to continue the topic of Platinum Silver in different lighting, here are some poor-quality iPhone shots taken at dusk.
And while I'm at it: I really like the sunroof. Not only do I think it looks cool. There is also no noise to speak of (tried at speeds up to 80 mph) and with the windows open at town speeds, it creates very pleasurable airflow. None of that annoying bellowing sound in your left ear that I'm used to in other cars. Respect!

i stuffed mine down so it isn't quite so in your face
I just haven't attached it yet as I'm still on dealer plates. Maybe I'll leave the plate off. It seems to be a "fix-it" ticket only. Funny thing is I'm actually not sure I don't want the front plate. It's weird, I almost think there is something missing in the front without the plate, design-wise. Originally Posted by Cpa4S

So, maybe I'll put it on, maybe not.Quote:

It was a base Carrera with sport exhaust. Good to see the base models are also starting to arrive.

Saw this in Carmel. Pretty sure it's the same car. I recognize the surroundings.Originally Posted by chancludo

Been away for a while but I was able to pick up my new 991S in early April.
I had planned on ordering one but didn't want to wait so the dealership and I searched for an existing car and we found one near Chicago and he traded a future cab build to get it.
This the sixth 911 I've owned in various guises since the mid 1970s, including a couple to Twin Turbos, and I can say without reservation that the 991 is the complete package. I am extremely happy with it. 1700 miles and I'm going for a spin later today.
Everyone who sees the car raves about the interior color. The Agate grey is a lot darker than it looks in photos, with just a tiny hint of brown. I like it alot.
991 S
Dark Blue Metalic
Full Agate Grey Leather
Premium Package Plus
14 Way Power Seats
PDK
Sport Chrono Package
BOSE
Sunroof
Electric Folding Mirrors
Multi-Function Steering Wheel
Plus a couple of other minor options
Here are a couple of quick pics.

I don't know if it is that lighting, but that color looks absolutely AMAZING! That color with two-tone black and dark grey interior would be my choice.
