I am getting a 2013 .. bye ,bye 997.2S
2) Overrevs yes...money shifts.. No
3) Complete system? Never heard it called that...I would use the term all the bells and whistles.
Buyers who track their cars choose options with the track in mind. And PDCC and PASM+ are probable the two that are pondered the most.

2) Money shift commands are completely ignored by pdk in manual mode !!!!
In short the engine is protected .
3) By complete . I mean the entire setup designed by porsche where the chosen options operate in combination geared for performance .
Its Burmester not meister. Go to post #52 on this thread where I reviewed the Burmester. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ferrerid=40996
The only other non P- car to have a Burmester system is the Bugatti Veyron.

i would never have ordered the Burmester, but it was in the car so there it is; anyway, it really is pretty amazing sound & placement. at this point i find no need to adjust any particular settings, but instead have played with the staging settings depending on the genre of music.

The 991s is a daily driver . I am not ready to spend more than the 991s and i am not selling my Turbo but if a road friendly supercar were on the list I saw one today that is my number 1 pick . And for the first time .. it's not a Porsche.

Do it! McLaren has been my favorite f1 team since the 80s and if I could afford one I would have one, but I can't so I'm looking at the 991 and M5. Actually I should get a soft luxury sedan as I am going through some really bad shoulder problems that makes driving more than 30 minutes at a time a painful experience.
I also traded 09 997.2 C2 for a 3012 1/2 991......
..........Larry, I beliecve I'm a neighbopr in Palm City, Fl. Couldn't resist, I got a real good trade in for my '09 purchsed at the end of the model year. I currently have PDK.....went with 7 speed manual, will love it for the less than 5,000 miles/year driven..........

The problem with the 12C is that its not a daily driver and has a few first year quirks . This is Mclaren's first car produced for the masses as a street car and it was just released not long ago. It's aboslutely gorgeous though .
The problem for me is that I'd have to sell both Porsches to end up with no daily car and enter into a domain of exotic car in a town where the city environment make it so impractical . Plus it is a huge expense .
Another snag is that i love my 997 EVT700 Turbo so much that I just can't imagine selling it.
I can't help but look at the 12C in awe though .
