According to my dealer I can still change my built which I placed roughly a month ago. Having seen a red 991 today I am having second thoughts about the exterior colour. Currently my order (C2 manual, PASM, SC, leather and some minor stuff; expected to be delivered in August) includes basalt black.

What would you go for? Basalt black or indian red (I think in the US they call it guards red; I do live in Germany). Would be great to get your opinion in the poll as well as your thoughts on the two colors for the 991 in particular.

Building and waiting are the two most painful things

The cool thing about Red is that you rarely see one and it is a relatively easy color to maintain compared with black that is very popular and hard to maintain ...

With that said, my 991S is Black but I voted Red

Red. Definitely! Especially if you think about black wheels of future mods that would stand out a lot more on red IMHO. I think bright colors are the new black as someone stated in another thread

Black looks great when it is absolutely clean. This is very difficult to maintain as everyone notes. I have had two black ones and would probably consider a different color next time around, but I am more of a slate gray, meteor gray, seal gray or GT Silver guy if it isn't black. Regardless, Guards Red is a classic no matter what. It's like a blonde, brunette or red head. It's all good if you find them in the Victoria's Secret catalogue.
