Calling all CT, NJ & NY 991 owners - lets meet!
Calling all Metro Connecticut, New Jersey, New York City or down state New York 991 owners from the 6.
I met a number of you (electronically) waiting for my 991S and you all were a big help getting through one of the longest months of waiting. (lots of others on the 6 were / are great as well). I have had written conversations with people all over the country and as far away as Dubai and Australia, and as close as New Jersey. It has been great, thanks one and all.
I was talking with Newman, who's 991S was on the ship before mine, but got his car later because of some stupid policy from Porsche on the release of Cabs. I drove mine exactly one month ago today. Newman and I thought it would be great to actually meet you all to put a face with the names and avatars. We are all smart/stupid enough to buy the very first release of one of the most changed cars in recent memory. That is as good a reason as any!
You 991 owners are all invited. We are going to meet at 1pm on Sunday May 20th at the Captain's Table 547 Route 17M, Monroe, New York 10950 (845) 783-0209. Directions and details can be found at:

I have never been there, but it seems like a nice place, has parking, and looks like it will be a nice drive to and from. Bear Mountain State Park and the Forrest of Tuxedo State Forests are in the area for those who want to take the really scenic route.
Only one request. If you are going to attend, please let us know by responding to this post by Friday May 18th so we can let the restaurant know and give them a rough head count.
Thanks and I am looking forward to meeting you! Drive in good health!

I am shocked and honored you took time out from driving in the first few days to respond! Look forward to meeting you and seeing that great new cab up close!
Thanks. Unfortunately driving time is a little restricted this week due to other commitments. Looking forward to the meet.

Wow, I'd really like to join you but we head down to Ocean City, MD that weekend for the big Cruisers Weekend (our 9th year there) 3000 to 5000 muscle cars and hot rods from all over. Not sure I'll be back up north in time for lunch. Maybe next time.
No problem - sounds like a blast. If you are in the area and want to escape the "honey -do" list, just show up! Otherwise, enjoy that great new ride!
Thanks, and any of you people looking for a great place to be can check out this Car Cruise
