Fabspeed gets their hands on a 991 "S" - dyno posted!

brand new 500 mile "S"... Stay tuned for big things! Dyno testing will commence shortly...

stock setup, multiple mufflers, valves, cats, WAY too much going on!

working on an intake setup now:

i am thinking we will replace the intake hose with a smooth silicone one and remove the muffler from the airbox, we will also be adding BMC filters..

the ECU is also out and getting tuned stay tuned for gains!

::EDIT 5/21/12::

first round of mod's are done... center muffler bypass with resonators, maxflo side mufflers, stock tip:

dyno results shortly..

Nice numbers for stock. Are these corrected figures? What kind of dyno are you guys using?

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

does not look like much to be gained from swapping out the headers!

the customer already made it clear he wants the stock parts back, if you are interested in a Fabspeed system I will be more than happy to give you a great deal!

we will see, as you cans ee in the pictures the cats are on the headers so i am sure there will be gains there, as far as the header design itself it is one of the better ones Porsche has released.

fuel mileage? i dont think we will be driving it enough to give you an accurate write up, and you dont want fuel numbers from the car on the dyno

Just put the car at 70 MPH on the dyno before and after and hold it for 5 minutes, that will tell us a lot.

When you have to take off all the rear fender and lights to get at stuff is there a risk it could rattle when you put it back together. Or not line up as well as it did when it was factory?

i assume you guys will build just new side mufflers since they will be useable for base and S? or also an X pipe center like in 997.2

i suppose you run that risk with everything involved with modifying a car however our lead tech Rob is a Porsche certified maser tech with an engineering degree, basically he know what he's doing

the plan is to offer nearly everything we offer for the 997 and .2 cars.. so side mufflers, center muffler bypass, side muffler bypass, etc.
