I like the Bose a lot - but it depends what you like listening to. I like bass-heavy music and I have a lot of bass, and the highs and mids are to my liking. I wanted the Burmester but I didn't want to do a custom build and the car I could quickly get had everything I wanted except it had Bose. I haven't looked back since getting the car...

I ordered base w/XM
If I have the radio on its CNBC or the NFL talk
Otherwise I'm listening to the car!!

Bose without satellite radio or CD changer?
Is it possible to order just the Bose? I have no use for the satellite radio nor CD changer. I exclusively listen to my ipod (music and audiobooks).
