the list is adding for the minor mod's & tweaks to the car - all from Suncoast as usual.

here are a few shots of the PDK aluminum Shifter - so much nicer than stock imo. costs a bit but in the context of these cars not bad.

Carbon fibre console surround. they just got the stuff last week and i really like how it adds to the jewel like look & feel on the centre console. the weave really pulls out the button accents & treatment.

Porsche crest from the key fob selection. i tried a few other ones from suncoast but this one is small enough that it adds some colour without being too up front. Surprising how it brings some colour into the interior. for $7 bucks i bought 3 - i have got to figure out where to work it into the Cayenne

this second shot was draft placement - i ended up lowering it when i glued it to place as though the smokers lid was the front trunk - so it went down lower on the final version - like a proper hood crest!

I like the porsche logo on the smokers package lid but can't find it on the website. Is it a sticker or a metal emblem that needs to be glued on?

Love the carbon fibre console surround, my interior is black, it would fit in nicely.

The carbon trim looks good, but the aluminum is nice as is. I'm not feeling the stuck on badge, though. It doesn't look right there.

the stock aluminum shows more finger prints than the touch screen. now if you mean brushed alu, that is another story.

What does it take to put the carbon or wood on?

nothing to it; pressure fits in so i used a soft tool to start at the base under the arm rest.

took no more than a couple of minutes to change. the thing is snug in there so i can understand why there is no rattle in the area.

So it just fits on top of what's there now? Is there double stick tape holding it?

all pressure and about 6 metal pins.

when you see the replacement piece you can tell where else to use a tool if it sticks. the whole piece came with a 1/4 inch rubber seal that really makes the fit snug & silent.

frankly they should let us reuse the rubber seal from the OEM and drop $50 off the price!

I just ordered the Carbon middle piece (my car came with carbon package inside, including all dash and door trim, and carbon on the PDK shifter, but not on the center console - that is an option that for some reason got missed)...so I ordered from Suncoast, as well. Should tie it in nicely, replacing the aluminum piece. Sounds like the installation was simple and I can do this myself?
