991 rear seats and kids

Can someone tell me realistically and comfortably, what height and age should be able to fit in the rears of a 991 with a booster? I defin know a normal car seat won't fit so I'll need to wait until my kid is old enough for a booster.

I had my 2 kids in the back of the 997 coupe in a booster until 6. You have to find a booster that fits the seat well. They loved being in the car. Just ordered a 991 and we Are doing euro delivery with four of us in the car. We have been test driving it at the dealer to make sure we all fit.... The kids are now 9 and 11 years old. It's tight but very doable. The kids are very excited about it...

Same here - have twin boys at 7 yrs age - no issue in a 997; in 991 will be (even) a bit easier.

Thanks for your replies. I'm guessing you can put a 4 foot kid 50-65lbs or so?

Kinds can go in a booster at 4 year and 40lbs. Although, preference is to keep them in a 5 point harness for as long as possible. My daughter is almost 5. She uses a booster in the back of the 991 and a 5 point in the other cars. I use the Harmony booster. It works well. I just sent an e-mail to Diono about the size of the Radian R100. The issue is the rear seat in the 991 is more narrow than the rear seat in the 997. If I can get the R100 to fit, it would be my preference since it is LATCH and 5 point harness.

Rear space in convertible

In the 991, is the back seat size smaller in the convertible versus coupe? I've heard in the 997, the passengers sat more upright in the convertible.

Please let us know if the R100 fits in the 991. TIA

I have not bought the Diono R100 but received an e-mail back from them with this attachment. They also stated the following "When you measure the very bottom on the back it was 13 inches." So my guess is that it would fit. While at Wal-Mart looking for a R100, I found the Costo high-back booster. I was and still am skeptical of a car seat that cost $29. It does have a 5 point harness. While it is essentially just a shell, it seems better than the Harmony booster. It does fit well in the back of the 991. Here is a picture.

Trying to decide if I should order the R100.

Rear Facing Infant seat in the Back Seat (California)

Anyone have any luck finding a rear facing infant seat for the back of a 991? I am not interested in a front seat option.

TY

I put a Britax Marathon rear-facing in the backseat of a 991. It can be done but it is not pretty. You would have to crawl into the backseat with your child from the opposite side to put them into the seat.
As far as I am concerned, front seat is not an option on any 2012. In the 997 you could have the dealership install a LATCH bracket for the front passenger seat. There was an optional key to turn off the front passenger airbag. This goes away for all 2012 cars. They use the weight of the front passenger occupant. If the front pass weighs less than 30lbs, the airbag is off. More than 30lbs and it comes on. I am not willing to risk that. I would need an off switch. So, the boy is not able to ride in the 991 until he can fit in a front facing seat. I believe in keeping them in a rear-facing seat as long as you can. Better for their neck in a front impact collision.

Or at least some pictures afterwards.
