Does the 991 have the ability to have its windows and sunroof closed somehow from the remote? I can't figure out how to do it but other German cars that I've had could do this. Especially helpful if there is an unexpected rain.

I'm waiting for 991 version.

I used the smarttop on my 997 cab and loved it.

If you hold the lock button on the key for a few seconds it will close the windows and vice versa. Not sure about the sunroof as I don't have one...sorry!

US cars don't allow this. Probably because PCNA's lawyers thought it wise to disable the feature in a country that sues McDonalds for serving coffee that is hot.

I am very interested in getting the equivalent 991 version when it is released.

Any way to get someone with access to a dealer's programmer/computer to change it for US owners?

Sounds like an excellent way of disabling your warranty...

Something like that certainly shouldn't void your warranty. I reprogrammed my RS4 to Euro window settings the day I took delivery and I've never had a question on any warranty work because of it.

They can't "disable your warranty" for doing this - if it is even possible to do what I mentioned. At worst, if the window "mod" caused an issue, they could deny the warranty claim for that item if it was proved that the "mod" caused the issue. That is thanks to the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act.
