Don't get the 991 in BLACK!
Don't get the 991 in BLACK!
It would be such a waste! Black doesn't do the car justice. It's so beautiful, why hide the lines?
It deserves Guards Red, Yellow, or White. Maybe bright blue too. (OK, if you must go conservative, silver is acceptable).
Would you ever buy a Lamborghini in black? I think not!!!....I rest my case...

Well I've ordered mine in Guards Red as pretty much all of my recent Porsches have been black and I wanted a change, but I will say black looks excellent on the 991. No way could I advise against it!

I've been back and forth between white and black for about 2 weeks. After spending some time looking at several at the dealer we finally decided on white. I've never had such a hard time picking a color. I was hoping agate grey might have been a possibility, but after seeing it have a brownish hue to it in the sun, it's not for me.
I think your either in the light or dark color camp! I have black with two tone black and grey interior and think there is no better combination except if Porsche had a decent brown leather. I also like the agg grey exterior. In general Porsche leathers are really bad color choices IMO.
I happen to be a monochrome car color guy,I.e. black, white, silver ,grey and that's it. I guess that is why Porsche(or is it VW now),has all the choices and why Baskin&Robbins has 36 favors and not just chocolate and vanilla.
Almost any car looks good in black. Nothing like a black car that's just been washed and waxed. Benz looks especially good in black....but so does Porsche. Black is actually my favorite color for the Panamera.
For my previous 997.2 and Cayman S black was it!,....both looked awesome.
On my first go-around of color choices for the 991 I was all over white since it does look fantastic on it.
Then among a see of black, white and agate grey 991s at my dealer,.....a Guards Red version suddenly came out of make ready for a customer. I never looked back,...utterly breathtaking and relatively rare, most just can't handle it :-)
