FVD Brombacher - Any Experience with them?

Does any one have experience with FVD Brombacher? I am exploring exhaust options for my base 991. I took a car from stock and it did not have PSE. The car is leased so I am looking for something that I can easily remove at lease end. I want a more aggressive sound and FVD has one of the few after market muffler systems available for the 991. I can't seem to find much information about them and their exhausts. Anyone have any experience with them or ideas for other mufflers? My Porsche dealer quoted me over $5k to install PSE and I don't want to do the Gundo Hack on a lease.

Thanks

I don't have their product on my turbo (I have Tubi) but I can attest that FVD/Brombacher is a class act. I believe one of the key people there is Rhonda, and they offer up some terrific, quality products. Speak with them before you go any further and get a feel for what they may have for the 991.

Thanks - I placed an order yesterday after speaking with Rhonda. She was a great help and has an existing relationship with my local Porsche racing shop. UPS tracking shows that the muffler made it from Germany to Philadelphia already. Hoping to get in installed next week.

I have the FVD/Brombacher Sport (Loud) exhaust on my turbo and it is awesome.

As you may know the trubo stock exhaust is very muted and so I was looking for something to amp it up.

The exhaust completely changed the character of the car in the best possible way.

A neighbor has a Ferrari and the general opinion is that the turbo soulds better!

And yes, Rhonda rules.

Installed today. It looks and sounds great. Louder than I expected. Props to Speedsport Tuning in Danbury, CT for the excellent job. I'll try and post some audio/video clips in the next few days.

Awesome, can't wait to hear real-life clips.
BTW how's the fit?
Any rattles, pings or "farting"?

Do you have pictures of the system before installation? Can't wait for the video.

I do not but there are pictures of the muffler on the FVD site. Here's a link:

Hey Caveat, now that you've had the system on for a few months what are your thoughts? I have the 991 S and wanted to get the FVD but not sure if it's really worth it to just get the mufflers without the headers (site says 10 HP and 11 TQ gain) . Any droning? Any loss of backpressure in the low rpm's? Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks,

John

I have heard the FVD exhaust and it sounds similar to the EP1. Hopefully that helps.
