Goodbye 991.... its been fun....
Reminds me of my 928 race with the XV-15 Tiltrotor (which has a 1 g peek longitudinal capability) with the same result except for two things:
1. I lost my lead at the 500 yard mark
2. We were on the same runway and when he went buy, those big red exhausts and turbulence was very scary.

Just don't take the Lambo to the track. Apparently brakes are good for only a couple laps....

The contest wasn't for coolest looking or fastest 1/4 mile. The Subaru, according to the article, is a really fun, balanced, well behaved track car that just needs more horsepower. The Lambo was unpredictable, has a horrible transmission, and brakes that couldn't last 10 minutes. You would think that for $400K, they could at least get the last two right.... But, if we were offered either one for free, I'm sure we would all take the Lambo....
Whoa... I forgot all about this thread. Well, yea... got the Aventador. Not a single problem with it thus far in 3,400 miles. I'll post up pics sooner or later.
As far as my 991- I actually ended up trading it for a 550xi (winter beater). Ironically- another member PM'd me and found the car at a Porsche dealer down the street. That reminded me of this forum, lol.

and BTW I'm gonna get another 991 one of these days; just waiting to see what Porsche does in respects to GT3, Turbo, etc. This time I'm going to order and do Euro delivery so I have plenty of time.

Amazingly, every single one of us was getting better times out of the Turbo S though...
, followed by the Aventador. Don't mind the times, I would still take the Aventador over the Turbo S for obvious reasons...hell, just give me both.
