Goodbye 991.... its been fun....
Have you thought about how much (unwelcome) attention you are going to get with the Aventador?
Don't get me wrong, i think the Aventador is "supercool." But it's just too high profile.

Huh? Do you honestly think I care what people think? My windows are black out and why I would care what people have to say that I don't know is beyond me. I bought the car to drive it.... not because I care what others think about it.
Uhm.... I've had the Lambo just as long as the 991 now and the 991 was at the dealer 8 times; the Lambo once for first service and there hasn't been an issue yet. If I was worried about the cost of service and ownership I would've bought a Kia.
I REALLY don't get some of these posts. Yea- 991 is a great car, I loved owning and driving it... BUT... its nowhere near the caliber of an Aventador and for what an Aventador costs you could own 4-5 991S. Some of these earlier posts don't make much sense. Gas mileage? Who cares... I'm driving a car that sucks gas like its dying of thirst and is a total PIA to get in/out of.... but it still snaps your neck back when you put the peddle to the floor which is why I bought it and nothing else matters. If gas costs $100 a gallon- I'd still be smiling from 0 to whenever I am forced to press on the brake.
Too bad you live in Omaha (where I grew up!). Not many places to put the Aventador through its paces. You should bring it down to my neck of the woods and drive the "Tail of the Dragon". That would put a smile on your face!

. Comparing any version of 911 to an Aventador does not make any sense, they are just very different car/price point/target audience.
Congratulations! I completely agree to every comment on how amazing of a machine it is. Please, be careful with it, and get to know it before opening it up....
Way too many of my countrymen had bad experiences with both 911s and Lambos, assuming that with the price comes the driving capabilities. And in no way I am judging your driving capabilities, since I don't even know you!
It's just a lot of power to manage on regular roads and/or tracks...
Good luck!
