To order or not???
As you would expect responses to this dilemma will vary with no right or wrong answer. My view is, if you have the patience to wait, order the exact car you want if only for your psychological satisfaction, without regard to whether you actually need or use some of those options. But if you a very eager and in a hurry to get in to the car quickly, get something close to what you want (negotiate a better discount), you'll be fine.

Like I said this car is real close on options which is a bigger thing to me than color. The thing I wanted the most was the Espresso and this car has that. In the real world the sport suspension may not add much as the PDCC will most likely pick up the handling better than the stiffer springs and the ride will be better. I can add the sport design package and would imagine that the dealer may be willing to deal as this is a very heavy optioned car. Since I have a trade this may help.
The main issue is the color. I think the car looks great but just trying to get my head around another black car. I tend to wash my toys quite often anyway. I am going to check on the wait time for an order and then go from their.

...Anyway, re adding options -- ask the dealer to give them to you at cost if you decide to add them later (mine made me that deal on Sport design wheel).
Lastly, I took mine off the lot because it was start of summer and there was no way I was waiting until after Labor Day. Also, the launch cars had everything I wanted in my build (plus some silly but nice to have options I didn't mind paying for in the context of the total sticker price).
Yea, a lot are saying the 991 is not as fun as the 997 because it is too much like a normal car. When I first drove one I want away unimpressed as it just seemed too much like an Aura or something. Once I had a chance to take it out on a snaking road I had a chance to realize the double nature of the car.
Now that I understand the different personalities I like it all the better.

Ditto The other comments - when spending $130k probably better to avoid buyers recourse and get exactly what you want. Don't compromise. My $.02.
That said, I also ordered and am waiting, waiting, waiting. Damn glass sunroof. But would rather wait and get it the way I want.
