Three and a half months since signing the piece of paper.
Today I received an e-mail confirming the order and a build in October with projected delivery in December or January (hope it will be December so I can use this over the holidays).
The order is now closed and I can't change it anymore. Thank the Lord for that - it was getting expensive - full leather being the last option I suckered myself into.
From a relatively humble beginning this is what the order ended up with:

Will likely be adding the small Techart wing to the back to round it off.

Great build! The park assist is not something I would have ordered on my own but it was included in the Launch Car I bought... and it's really a very nice thing to have.

 

Yes, I did not consider it at first as none of my cars ever had something like this - but the first test drive at the dealer convinced me that it was a good idea and would likely pay for itself sooner or later. Visibility from inside is perhaps not the greatest feature of the 911.

Nice Build!! Congratulations!! I know exactly what your going through. Hopefully it will get pushed forward. I originally had a Sept. 13 build date and it got pushed forward twice. It ended uo getting completed on July 30 and is currently on a boat. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I know special order cars are 1st priority.

 

You should be good for a december delivery. Mine took 2wks to build and 4wks to arrive at dealership. Congrats!

 

Great spec! You're gonna love it...you'll appreciate the parking sensors...one of my few gripes about this car is no backup camera option

Very unlikely. Even if they do - they would be out on $5 bail immediately. It's part of a pretty serious drug related issue in a nearby village. Police advised they will be back tonight to collect what they could not carry.
The property is part of a 120 hectar nature estate and we tend to stay there on the weekends (the other side of the town we live) to get away from work (which basically happens in our normal home).
For this reason the property was not occupied. I foolishly left the alarm system off as I don't want to annoy the place with false alarms going off during the week.
They had all the time in the World and must have had quite a party. They even went through at least 3 bottles of booze. Only the expensive stuff.
Going there now to start replacing broken windows etc. and get the alarm system wired to my neigbours house who kindly offered that.
