991 GT3 with PDK
For the track I get it, however my previous 911 was a 997 C4S tiptronic, it was slower then PDK and manual, but I drove the car a lot more than I drive my 997tt manual, all because of the hassle of manual in traffic.
Today the PDK is a faster shifter then the manual plus you get the pleasure of just cruising through traffic without working the clutch, those 2 reasons is why I decided to order the 991S PDK, and let the 997tt go. If my tt had PDK I would probably have waited until the GT3 or new tt was here.
Anyway it is fun to drive manual, I just want to combine the fun with less work.

I really don't agree with comments like 'you are not a real driver or enjoy driving if you don't get manual', this is too much of a hard nose approach and doesn't apply to everyone.
If I had the choice of a PDK in my GT2, I would have a difficult time deciding but would probably end up with manual. It just fits this type of car better IMO.
So to sum it up for me, if I went with any GT variation 911 I would probably go manual, but if I went with a TT or Carrera S, I would definitely go PDK.
After driving my GT2 around for a long stint, I feel very tired and am glad that I can jump into a nice sedan and cruise comfortably afterwards. It is amazingly fun but does not allow relaxation. Very fortunate to have a choice for my different moods.
