New to forum & 1st time Porsche owner.

I've been lurking for a while gathering info for a possible 991 purchase. I'm happy to report that the purchase research is officially over and now we're moving on to the next phase; ownership experience.

I was going to order a new 991 Cab S from my local dealer (Memphis) but a trip to Atlanta this week-end changed all that. Hennessy had a new 2013 Basalt Black, black top and Luxor interior, with a black dash and upper door panels in tan deviated stitching. Black carpet also sets off the interior nicely. Only the sport exhaust and a couple of other minor options we're missing from my ideal spec. After a quick test drive, there was no way I could wait for an ordered car.

Less than an hour later, I was the proud owner of my first Porsche. Anyway, I'm looking forward to contributing to the forum and will also soak-up any Porsche knowledge. Pics to follow tomorrow.

Steve

Congrats, I've also got the black basalt cab w luxor but not the black dash, which is a great choice because I've got some mildly annoying glare from the beige dash onto the windshield. Would love to see some ice of your interior.

Funny you should mention that because I noticed on the drive home the very annoying glare from the tan section in the middle where the Chrono is. I would think that the entire dash in Luxor would definitely create a glaring issue.
