Need advice...7speed or PDK?
My vote goes to the 7 speed manual since I've never owned or driven a 7 speed before
. I was pretty impress with the PDK but I hope the manual tranny will not become discontinued in the near future

I chose the MT in my 991 because I personally like the action of shifting, to me it's a racing thrill without actually being on a race track. Let me add that its easy to shift the 991 vs the 993 i had. Mine is not a daily driver, If I had to drive it everyday in traffic no question probably take PDK. But remember this... There is only one 7speed manual in the world and only the Porsche 991 has it. Hope that helps your decision. -jb
I love my 7 speed manual. I am a stick shift die-hard and finally gave in a got a BMW M3 with DCT. Technologically, it was a marvel but the novelty of paddle shifting wore off very quickly and I got rid of the car after 18 months and got a manual 991. I tried PDK and, yes it shifts faster and it is fantastic on the track, but it is an automatic and if you are a stick fan, you will miss the connected, interactive experience that rowing your own gears provides.
The 991 could very well be the last 911 with mt. Get it while you can, I guess.
I'm actually waiting on the 991 GT3 hope they give us a stick option for our market.
