What size 19" wheels?

I am looking for a 19" for snow. I am ignorant when it comes to wheels.

Is this what I need to find to be able to fit?
Front 8.5Jx19, ET51
Rear 11Jx19, ET70

With a 5 X 130 bolt pattern

I have been looking around on the web. There is so much to choose from.

hlee1169 is infamous around these parts
Mine is 19X8.5 (5-130 ET53) front
19X11 (5-130 ET65) rear

Although I got these for track, but probably not much difference from your snow tire usage.

It seems that most wheels that fit the 5 x 130 bolt pattern have an offset around ET50 to 55. This would mean 15-20 mm farther out than factory. That seems like too much. Is it me or does the 991 have a strange offset?

The factory offsets for the 20" wheels (not sure about the technos) are:
F 20 x 8.5J et51
R 20 x 11J et70

There are several options.
What wheels are you considering? What is your price range?

Go to the tire rack website and search for wheels by car model. Make sure to select the standard '13 Carrera. If you select the S model it only shows 20" options.

I am looking for 19" wheels winter snow tires. I would be OK with replicas. I used Tirerack and they pretty much only have OZ and (2) BBS wheels in 19" that fit the 991.

I think the offset of ET70 is the issue. Looking around, I am not seeing other cars with such a large offset.

Mine are OZ Superforgiata and I bought them from tirerack. They look fine on my car, and I have driven them in the track without problems.

I found a OEM replica for $700 (set of 4). One concern is that the rears are only 10" wide with an offset of 60. Again, I know nothing about wheels. When you change the width of the rm, does the offset change.

yes. the offset is measured from the center of the wheel. offset is the mm distance from the center line of the wheel to the hub side surface of the wheel.

the wheel you are looking at will be roughly 2.5mm more tucked in than the factory wheel. It will work and look fine if you are comfortable with the smaller contact patch.

Depending on your budget there are several other options other than BBS and OZ. Personally I would love a set of CCW's and they are custom sized to your spec.

PS. I really like the look of that replica, I just dont think I would run a set of replica wheels, that price point is scary cheap.

Thanks. I have a 5mm spacer that could fix it. As far as cost and contact patch. Keep in mind these are snow tires. A smaller patch is not a bad thing. And I would be doing track days with them. With snow tires, you really should not be doing high speed running. Not to mention the hidden ice patch.

Thanks again. I will have to do some more investigation. Might just put the snow tires on my 20". I really like the look of them.
