Park assist great option but.....

I really like the feature but Im torn if I should add to my build as I think it takes away from the aesthetics of the look. Any thoughts??

Seriously, the aesthetics of the two small circles? I don't see that but to each his own. In my 997 I (and parking attendants) brushed against the bumperettes often enough that I think it's money well-spent but if all you do is commute back and forth to easy parking spaces, maybe you can do without.

You could learn to park the car without this, I think.

True! But given what even minor body work costs on a Porsche, lack of bumperettes on the 991, and given the cost of the sensors, you better "learn" quick

I went with rear sensors only. So no looks issue in front at least.

I had the same concerns, but then ordered them "for the wife". Now, months later, I yet have to notice them. They are much more inconspicuous than in the configurator. You won't notice them and they are really useful. Take it from someone who looks down on bozos who can't park their cars!

If I lived and parked mainly in a populated area I would most likely get them. As others have stated, they are quite inconspicuous on the 991.

I dont care for the rear sensors in such a small car, but IMO the fronts are a must to avoid hitting the lower lip with those tall concrete parking stops, saved mine a few times. The car is very low.

I actually like the way they look, both front and rear. To each his/her own.

The rears are just OK, but I don't like the fronts at all. I have seen them in person a few times and they are just plain funny looking. Like anything over time you will be less and less aware of them, but I still wouldn't order them.

I find them very useful on mid to large SUVs, but I've just never needed them on any sports car I owned and can't think of an instance they would have been truly useful in, but then again I don't use parking garages and never let any sort of attendant drive the Porsche, so others out there could find them very beneficial.

It is a great system very helpful glad I ordered car with front and rear sensors. Had the car since June and not a scratch. Well worth the cost

If you need help parking such a small car I'm sorry to say that I really have to question your driving abilities. I can see this on a big pickup or SUV, but on a tiny sports car?

Sorry I know this isn't going to get me any fans from those of you that have them, but seriously, it's a tiny car! It's so easy to park these things without any kind of assist...

I'd be with you normally, but I'm 6'5" and still can't see or gauge the front or back. The curvatures make it really hard. Sensors are super-useful here.

I wish I had your talent. I must have just been lucky over the past 42 years and 800,000 or so miles. Do you have any pointers or suggestions? As I live in an exurban area with few opportunities for parallel parking the sensors come in handy when parking in my garage. I'd really like to save those extra electrons used during the last 15 seconds of driving by turning off those sensors so, how can I improve my skills and abilities without whimpng out?
