2012 Model Year Pricing (New) Help

I was originally going to buy a new 991 S but saw a 2012 Turbo Cab for sale at a dealer. Given 2013s are now out, what type of discount off of MSRP can I get? They have had it for several months. MSRP is just over $160k. Was going to custom order a Carrera S that worked out to $140k. So I was thinking maybe go the 2012 Turbo route instead assuming I could get a nice discount.

Any real-world advice on pricing expectations would be greatly appreciated. I've seen a 2013 for the same price and I would expect 2012s to sell at a discount.

Also, any changes in 2013 versus 2012?

Thank you for your help.

Turbo forum would likely be very helpful with your pricing question.

You could probably get 4% off one you order and maybe 10% of an existing one, but that 6% delta could easily be removed by taking off options you don't need. If you find there aren't that many options you would delete try offering them 85% and see where it goes.

4 to 10% on average, but most people are waiting for the new 991 turbos so supply of current 997 turbos are in short supply so discounts may not be as good now, better when the 991 turbos will be launched.
