Brake Dust

I have only had our new 911 for 2 weeks now but the brake dust is just nuts. It makes far mor dust than any car I have ever had. Even the AMG cars that I have make far less dust. What pad replacement would you recommend for street driving and minimal dust?

Thanks for any help.

Breaks do throw off a lot of dust. I sealed and waxed my wheels. I also take a leaf blower to them just about every time before parking in the garage. It helps a bit.

I had some surprisingly good results with ArmorAll Wheel Protectant spray.

I have been using ReJex ever since I had John at CCW make some wheels for another car. This car just makes way too much dust and I'm looking for replacement pads.

Engine braking works for me. Haven't notice anymore brake dust than my 997, seriously.

Actually I feel like my cayenne throws off more brake dust than my 991

Honestly, I think my old Audi had the most break dust and agree that the Cayenne had more. I don't think my 997 had more.

The dust was getting on the side of my car really badly so I tried different ones on the front...end of problem but you will still want to use BDR or Armor All Wheel Protectant for the wheels as some dust remains and it makes it easy to remove. Here the link:

They are not built for track use.

I also use Armor All but I have noticed that the quantity of brake dust has diminished as the miles increase. During the first 2000 or so miles the wheels seem to be coated after short rides; now, not so much.

+1 for the first thousand a real pain. No permanent solution. I bought a feather duster which works great to remove!
