Thanks Haku. It will be back this week or they are going to start getting calls from a lawyer. The dealers well regarded. I think it is just that I have been talking with a service rep on the from end, not someone who can really e plain things. I will let you all know when I know more.

And keep those pictures coming!

I do still love the car, and I am sure it will be fine. But now, sitting here waiting, and thinking, and waiting, and thinking....you understand.

Time to live up to the German engineering hype.
IMO it never should have happened and you should definitely ask for it, (but don't get too upset if you don't get it). Again, sorry to hear about your issue.

For what it's worth my car was in for about 17 days when it had 5000 km, and I managed to negotiate a 1 yr extended warranty plus 2 free services as compensation.
Like you it was the waiting, thinking... part that I did not like. I knew they would fix it. I had a panamera loaner.

Finally picked up my car todayand received a detailed explaination. There was a defective oil pressure regulating valve. Oil was found wicking on the engine wiring harness. They replaced the harness, the "DME" ( anyone know what this is?), the generator, oil level sending unit, oil pressure sending unit, the valve itself, anda coolant pipe. They had to drop the engine and transmission and run the engine totall detached to discover where the leak was. They had to do a complete rewire to all sensors and replace a number of those as well. They had to clean the engine and compartment

The service manager was saying that this is very rare. They have never seen it happen in another 911. Oh well, I am the winner.

I was a little disappointed in the end. I would have expected that they would have cleaned the car. Also, I found rubbing on the door side of the seat and I swear that they were not there previously. They said that they would fix it the next time I was in for service. And I still have some rattles in the door. They also claimed to know nothing about the wind buffeting problem, but would research it. Think I could lemon law it if theycan't fix it?

I love my car, but I expected better!

I'm glad the car is back in your hands. Your car is stunning and all is fixed. Just shed a tear for the fellow whose 2012 Panamera Turbo was in for a recall to replace both turbos! They had to drop the entire engine out and it'll take 2 weeks before he'll get the car back.... Eeek! It was at the shop on Monday when my car had an oil change.

It stands for Digital Motronic (Motor) Electronics.

Sorry it took so long and amazed at what they had to do, but glad you've got it back AG.
