Is there a connection anywhere on the 2012 porsche 991 carrera to hook up a trickle charger? Or do you have to go thru the cig. lighter. Thanks

I'm sure there isn't one from the factory, but you could certainly hardwire a trickle charger connection to the battery if you have access to it. Then you wouldn't need to use the lighter.

There should also be an AC plug in the passenger foot well...
Regardless, using the cig. lighter socket has worked great for me, I got a trickle charger at the P- dealer (about $80,-) it's self regulating so no worries of over charging and no screwing around with clamps or open bonnets, batteries etc.
