This is my 15th Porsche
Almost all purchased at the same dealer and the same salesperson.
This is a 2013 991S with a window sticker of U.S. $ 141K and gave me a discount of $ 7K. It was purchased in April 2013

I typically use how much time the car is on the lot as an indicator re: willingness to reduce price, etc....The problem is that the inventory for good low mileage CPO 911S is pretty low.

i'm a new porsche buyer, ordered a 2014 c2 late July expecting late november delivery.

99k msrp and only got 2000 off the order.

How do you guys get such heavy discounts? I'm in Houston and called all the dealers around town and they would only match the 2% given to me at my dealer.

Did i get ripped off? Any advice?

On a side note my dad and brother also ordered new porsches and were only given 2% off as well.

I would go out of state as you will have more options, etc... In my case, started out of state, got a great deal, and then use that for leverage locally.

2% is on the low side IMO, especially your family are ordering 3 cars.

You have to understand that it's the MSRP that sets the discount. Example: Dealer invoice on my car was about 15 under sticker and I got 6800 off, so dealer made about 8200 on the car. Your car has about 10.5K for the dealer, so with 2k off he made 8.5k. Not much difference at all. Don't let the discounts on higher price cars screw with you, you got a good deal. Now what you get for a trade-in is another whole story.

I know a dealer that gives the truecar price on all their porsche so if any of you want a good 5% discount PM me and I can give you the dealer name. None of you in the US should ever pay MSRP.
