Going to put in my order

After what seems like forever I'm going to try to make it to the dealer tomorrow to put in an order. Thanks to all here who have answered the questions I have posed on this site. Here is what I think I'm going to order, but might make a couple final adjustments at the dealer.

911 Carrera Cabriolet

Packages
Burmester® Audio Package
Premium Package with Adaptive Sport Seats Plus

Exterior Colors
Cabriolet Roof in Red
White

Interior Colors
Carrera Red natural leather interior

Exterior
Electric folding exterior mirrors
ParkAssist (front and rear)
Deletion of Model Designation

Performance
Sport Exhaust System
Sport Chrono Package
7-speed Manual Transmission

Wheels
20-inch SportDesign wheel

Interior
Sport Chrono clock dial in Carrara White
Instrument dials in White
Smoking package
Seat ventilation (front)
Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way)

Interior Leather
Porsche Crest on headrests
SportDesign steering wheel
Natural leather interior

I'm thinking of maybe going down to the base wheels (19's) and maybe go to the Bose instead of Bermester. Going to listen to them side by side if possible to make that decision. Will probably be a last minute decision at the dealer. Also not sure on the smoking package - I'm definitely not a smoker but thought the cig lighter might come in handy to charge additional stuff, but then where would I put my phone while driving?

Appreciate any thoughts or comments.

Correct, going base, Trust me it was a long mental battle. I don't believe I'll track the car and I think that's what pushed me to the base.

Thats a fantastic build!
Good call on the base, its freaking fast on the streets and has plenty of character, missile like after 4.000 rpm.

My iphone doesnt fits in my center console cup (w/o smokers package) I use it for change or some mints, its just a little bigger than the one with the lid, imo its a no brainer, nicely finishes the center console.
ohh and keep the Sport Technos!!!

would get the 4S if yu are goin with 20 inch wheels

I have a 997.2 c4s cab and just ordered a new 991 c4 cab (not s this time)
sticking with the 19 inch wheels (easier to fit with winter tires and the bose upgrade is more than adequate)

Is there another place to put a car charger in if one doesn't get the smoker's package?

I think you should find one in the back of the center console as well as in the passenger foot-well on the left side forward.

Exciting Thread!

I'm right there with you... I have been going back and forth with not only Porsche options, but also with with other manufacturers...lol

I really like how the Carerra S blips on upshift, but like the 19's on the C2 Cab for a wee bit more comfortable ride...

Oh, these look a little funky but if you could hide them...?

Yea this build has been unbelievably difficult for me. When I bought my 997 I literally took the first one I could. Was a bit overexcited, to say the least. This time around I wanted to take my time and really get exactly what I wanted. Sounds easy enough, but man O man has it been anything but easy! I can't count the number of different configs I have built. Now that its down to final decision time there is a bit of anxiety. I'm hoping for a sense of relief when it's finally done. Then I just have to figure out a way to deal with the wait!!

I suggest silver belts for more interior contrast, matching the sport design steering wheel and dashboard trims.

Not sure about red roof combined with red interior, but definately keep the 20" wheels for the looks.

I have not been a big fan of the white but that car looks great. I would get the bottom of the mirrors painted white for consistency.

Initially I was thinking about having the lower mirror part and rear apron painted in the body color, but I found a white 991 on autogespot.com with these parts painted and I really like the default (black) better.
