I see you are in NYC. Did you get the car at Manhattan Motor Cars? If so you are lucky you picked it up yesterday earlier in the day. I drove by last night around 6pm and a Budget rental truck had been in an accident with a taxi and went through the front of the dealership on 10th Avenue. Right through the window.

A friend of mine works in service over there and posted up pictures on FB too. Looks like there might not be any damage to cars, but there was a 997 Turbo right in the window it went into.

What the hell happened?

 

Wow that is my dealership! Thats a 997.2 targa with all the glass on it. Was parked next to a new 997 speedster. (I was just there for service and checking out the cars). Could have been a lot worse though - in the next bay of windows are the top of line trade-ins: 2 veyrons, a 458, a spyker etc

 

yeah... i'm not sure of the details of what happened, but when I drove by they were pulling the truck back out. Then when I got home my friend had these on his FB feed.

Sid - This isn't the dealership I use, but I pass it frequently. Thank goodness.

KonaKai - This was only one window over from the corner where the Carrera GT was sitting for years too. Oy. I hope the Speedster is OK.

 

Yep... but actually I'm thinking this might have been the dealer's best shot at moving that Speedster at sticker price
