Production schedule

I think you're right about the materials science adding appreciation. Whether it's brakes that actually work, tire compounds that can hold up to high speeds, or engine parts that can survive 7500 rpm (125 rp-second!), there's a lot of incredible engineering involved before you can even get to the high-tech assembly.
Wow, if patience is a virtue, you're amazingly virtuous! I ordered mine 10/19, so if it shows up 1/5-ish I'll now consider myself lucky.

My completion date is Jan. 22nd it was locked last week normally it would be locked at the end of Dec. but with the Holidays in between it got locked over 2 weeks early.
Yours isn't locked yet?
Yours isn't locked yet?
How do I know if it is locked? All I know is that my dealer says it is scheduled to be completed by Jan. 23.
He'll be able to tell if it's locked with your order number as it gets updated daily by PCNA.
edit... just saw you beat me to the punch Fester.
Thanks, I will.
My dealer didn't work on Sundays in Florida either. Nor do they in Ohio which is close by. It was always annoying to me. I just thought all Porsche dealers were closed on Sundays.
Even if your order is not locked in yet making any change can alter the production date. My dealer advised me a few weeks ago of this. My production date is January 23rd.
