Anyone ever deal with Newport Porsche in California?
It sounds like you have had a much better experience than I did.. So who knows maybe she was having an off week with me.. But my patience was running low after as we weren't communicating very well.
I finally got her to offer 3%... by that time I was already irritated with the communication and had enough and moved on elsewhere. This was a month or so ago.. I'm not even sure if that was would be for a '13 or a build for a '14..
Ultimately I negotiated 5.5% elsewhere for a '14 build, which was effortless. I suspect I could have probably easily gotten another 1% without a lot of effort..

I have bought more cars in 20 years than most people do in a lifetime and I live by 2 rules.
1) get what you want, no exceptions, no compromises.
2) if the dealership people aren't awesome at first then they will disappoint you as you try to deal with them. walk away, get a different sales person or talk to the GM so they know you are serious. don't keep the effort up with a loser. some people are just salesmen others are car enthusiasts like us. Get one of them.
finally Fletcher Jones in Fremont was awesome before and after the sale. I highly recommend them and talk with Raj. He's on these forums and he knows his cars.

Thanks for the props! Yes, I am and will always be a car enthusiast first.
