c2s v c4s

i am about to pull on a new dd and cant decide btw 2 cars my dealer has. I love the body and technology of c4s but like the options of c2s they have better. Both cars are white/blk:

c2s
sport chrono
front sport facia
sport exhaust
pdk

c4s
pdk
leather seats

Both have similar other options...

Let me know your opinions. Have not had a pcar in 5 yrs. I currently have 11 458 and 08 scud.

In Florida the C2S is the one to get.

Why put up with extra weight and less rear engine feel that the C4S has if you dont need it.

Love the back end of the C4S; I have one so I'm biased. If the C2S has more of the options you want I'd go with that one.

That is my dilemma ... I like the look of the C4s better.

I have no personal experience with the 991C4S, but at least one respected journalist stated that the steering of the C4S feels less affected by the new electric steering mechanism than that in the C2S. That, plus the big butt and light strip, might sway one even in a warm state.

Whichever one you go for I know that the must have options are:

Sports Chrono (mainly for the dynamic engine mounts)
Sport Exhaust (just for the soundtrack)

Therefore from the two you mention the 2S may be the one. I'm surprised the 4S they have doesn't have sports chrono. If so it'll be a tough shift for the dealer.

I agree. I like the options on the 2S. Since you're coming from that other stable of cars, I'm thinking you may want the 4S just for the better steering as Haku mentioned.

But you cannot retrofit the SportChrono.

I would bite the bullet and just wait a few months and order one with the many options you prefer. Patience my friend, patience.

Those of you complaining of the electric steering would most likely never feel the difference if driving it back to back with a 997.2 on a track. If no one told you it had electric instead of hydraulic most would never know. I had this such experience with 30 other guys and none of us could feel a difference in steering.
To the OP, I recommend you drive them back to back since the steering feel of the AWD car will lack feedback from the front wheels and feel more numb without the sense of traction. That is the biggest concern in driving feel between the two. In hard turns you are guessing how much traction the front wheels have in AWD as opposed to the RWD car that communicates to the steering wheel exactly what is happening and how much harder you can push it. I agree the wider rear fenders look very sharp on the body style, and agree that the sport chrono and sport exhaust are very important. If you must have a C4S then find one with at least these options, there are other dealerships.

Perception is tough thing to project. Everybody perceives differently. For your examples, you may be correct. But you stated - most - appropriately. As - some - may notice. Although that may be a minority, in your experience, the OP may be one of them.

I stand on the ground somewhere in the middle of - even if I noticed, I probably wouldn't care, so it's irrelevant to me. The car is not suddenly going to handle like crap.

I agree with your premise, but will add the caveat of what will go noticed and unnoticed does differ (based on perception and preference).

Why not just wait for 3 months and get exactly what you want. DD the 458 till the 991 is here. I don't know how long you wait for the 458, but 3 months is short by comparison

I know that the Dynamic Engine Mounts which IMO is a HUGE benefit of SC cannot be retrofitted. As far as the SC software, I'm not sure and have doubts whether its possible as an option... but am happy to be corrected on it.

IMHO you want the engine mounts, and the clock is nice.
