Burmester v. PDCC
I have both 18-way seats and PDCC, but just the Bose. I have an audiophile system at home, but frankly I just don't care so much about that in the 991 as this is not what a Porsche is for (Lexus, Audi, etc.SUV or sedans maybe). I have passed 11k miles already doing many 6-8 hour drives north from NYC to Canada. The comfort of the long drives, be it on smooth or potholed highways and roads, of which you get both, especially the latter in the NYC area, I would not pass up the PDCC for smoothing out the surfaces. The PDCC is felt on twisty roads as well when hard cornering, to the extent you might do that. I have been to 4 DE event last year and the driving there was fast, smooth and simply sublime again, especially in corners and chicane. My instructors were in awe of the car! The Bose is plenty fine.
Tough to choice as its a matter of priority...for me it was PDCC all the way.

Some good feed back and I appreciate it. I had the opportunity to see a car last night that had PDCC with Bose and some other great options. I plugged in the Ipod and listened to some music and to be honest, whilte certainly not burmester, the Bose seemed more than adaquate. The bass was a little muddy, highs not as crisp as buremster, but certainly seemed more than adaquate for me considering I am also getting the following options in this car:
693 - 6-disc CD/DVD changer
690 - SiriusXM(R) & HD Radio(R) rcvr
680 - BOSE(R) Surround Sound System
P37 - BOSE© Audio Package
630 - Light Design Package
625 - Porsche Entry & Drive
603 - Porsche Dynamic Light System
541 - Seat ventilation (front)
342 - Seat heating (front)
276 - Automatically dimming mirrors
P3C - Prem Pkg Plus w 18-way seats
324 - Adaptive Sport seats Plus (rig
323 - Adaptive Sport seats Plus (lef
ZAB - Ornamental Porsche Crest
651 - Electric sunroof
250 - Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
428 - 20-inch SportDesign wheel
XRP - Wheel spacers, 5 mm
XSC - Porsche Crest on headrests
640 - Sport Chrono Package
352 - Porsche Dynamic Chassis Cntrl
840 - SportDesign steering wheel
176 - Sport Exhaust System
446 - Wheel caps color Porsche crest
P07 - Adaptive Sport Seats Plus
It all comes down to trade offs. As mentioned by someone, I can upgrade the stereo if I am not happy with the Bose. The only thing the car doen't have is park assist but dealer will install rear camera and intergrate into head unit so that will work.
Just need to work final numbers. Anymore feedback welcome.

You obviously have never spent 20 minutes twice a day in the merge/creep towards the Lincoln Tunnel or GW Bridge. PDCC will not help you at all here.
You've described the perfect scenario (actually, the ONLY scenario) with your daily driver commute where I would justify the extra money for the Burmeister.

Going to test the Bose system again tonight with Iphone in hand. Still on the fence about Bose and PDCC v. Burmester. Drove my dads Panny GTS w/o PDCC last week and it felt great. I was very happy with the C4S w/o PDCC as well. Problem is I want it all, but I can't have it all. Not sure in DD duty the PDCC will come into play as much as Burmester.... either way I know I will be happy, just need to decide. Maybe I need to finalize both deals (separate dealers) and see who give the better deal.........
I would save the money on the Burmester
I do DynAudio and Masconi amp. its about 7K upgrade on the 991, but it will Smoke the stock bermester. Were working on our second one soon. The first 991 we did was NUTTS!!!!
Aftermarket audio is always a better option save the money and invest it in extended warrants, clear bra or Wheels from the dealership. Evem the Bermester is still stock paper speakers there nothing to write home about there just more of them

The answer to this dilemma is highly subjective. Since you are looking for opinions here goes... Personally, I don't think either option is worth the price on a custom order. In deciding between the two cars I would pick the pdcc car. At least there is some possibility you will get better performance, though rather unlikely to be felt on a public road, but noticeable indeed on a track.
Burmester??? That's not why one gets a 911.

To miss out on PDCC for the sake of a sound upgrade?
I've never heard the likes.
...hearing stuff like this i guess i'm no longer sure who's buying these cars anymore and for god knows what reasons. No offense.... just call me old school... but this IS A 911!! Performance" is the key word here, and the more of that you can cram into it the better regardless of whether you think you'll ever use it or not. Maybe that's telling you something. Maybe you need to remove the shackles and use this car properly for what it is.I guess if OP's focus is more on lounging around in a sound bar then to be honest there really are better cars to be doing that in. Just mho.
.
My 911 sounds so good i hardly ever turn the radio on, plus at high speeds i need concentration. Bose has been more than adequate for me. If the price of the Burmeister was only a 1,000.00 more than i think it would be worth the $$$. To me the sound of the engine is what i like to hear.
Totally agree with this.

.Point taken and not offended. The driving dynamics in the NY area are tough at times and the Burmester could come in handy when stuck in traffic. I live in a very populated area and it is difficult to open the car up on a normal day. Drive to city, drive home, etc. But I will go to the track, I do go on road trips and I do let it rip when I can.
Having said that, I just got back from a 20 minute private session in the car with my ipod and Bose is more than adaquate for me. The reality is that this car is here ready to be purchsed and the dealer is more than agreeable to offer a sizable discount. It is a very nice build and couldn't ask for more.
The 2 year (or 27 month) lease deals are really good and the PDCC car feels right.
