Burmester v. PDCC
Burmester v. PDCC
Ok, so I have the "regular" black v. basalt black worked out. I would be happy with either one.
I do not have an unlimited budget and I need to stay within the MRM leasing max of 126K for C4S' with PDK for this to make sense. There are 2 cars in the running. One with PDCC, one with Burmester. I can't have both. The one with Burmester has 18 ways and Prem Pkg Plus. The PDCC car has 14 ways sport seats and Prem Pkg (no plus). Both have PSE and SC.
This car will be a daily driver from NNJ TO NYC. Family road trips to Boston. Gym, errands, dinner, etc. Maybe a few track days a year. Maybe.....
I love music.....thousands on my ipod....... my dad has burmester in his PGTS. Amazing!! Wife loves music more than I do..... crazy hip hop, R&B, etc.
PDCC seems to be a great option as well. Great reviews. No body roll, flat cornering, etc...... but with my use will I miss it? Maybe......
You can only have one......

The answer to this dilemma is highly subjective. Since you are looking for opinions here goes... Personally, I don't think either option is worth the price on a custom order. In deciding between the two cars I would pick the pdcc car. At least there is some possibility you will get better performance, though rather unlikely to be felt on a public road, but noticeable indeed on a track.
Burmester??? That's not why one gets a 911.

I had a last chance to add on to my car and I chose Burmester over PDCC. I didn't have the chance to try PDCC, as it was an order pre-release. I chose Burmester as I don't track too much, 2nd one this weekend. I don't know what I'm missing regarding the PDCC, but I know clear sounding music.
So that's what I chose. Others will tell you opposite and to listen to the Symphonic Sounds of Stuttgart over the radio. Each their own. Whichever choice you make, go with it, you'll be happy

I like the idea of PDCC as it will help both everyday ride quality and handle better when needed but I also like the 18 way seats as they are so comfortable. Maybe go with Bose which is what I did on my build. I still went over MRM of the lease but the extra $90 a month was worth it to get everything I felt I needed.
PDCC without a doubt. Especially useful not only on a track but on roads that are potholed etc. PDCC also has a huge effect on tire life. Then there is the drive and handling.... it is phenomenal and has to be experienced. Utterly rail-like!
I rather spend the money on Full Leather interior, then PDCC or Burnmester, but thats just me, I love my full leather interior, it was a must have for me.
PDCC test drove one with the system, works pretty good, but I plan on upgrading to Coilovers after a few track days, so PDCC I decided against it
Burmester - going to upgrade the sound system completely soon, so didn't see the point of paying for it and then removing it for upgrade later.
Guess depend on what you plan to do with your car, keep it stock and no plans to upgrade suspension or sound system. Then I would go with the PDCC over the Sound system, you'll be enjoying the exhaust noise too much to use the Burmester IMO.

As a DD I'd take the PDCC, it's latestst and greatest in both performance and comfort.
The latter will be very important on those crappy roads, besides once you get a load of that PSE in sport+ you won't be listening to music as much as you used to... you'll see.
Also the 14 way seats are very, very good... many do not like the "pinched" feel of the 18way sport seat, same goes for the standard and Bose sound system
I'd get the PDCC... actually I have.

PDCC isnt just for performance. It's also more comfortable when you need it.
To choose, I would take both on an identical drive route that is typical of your driving style with maybe a fast run to see if you feel any difference.
If not, choose the more comfortable car with better stereo since that's important to you. It's not easy or cheap to upgrade either though.
Personally, I don't think either actually matters. The stock stereo is plenty joyful for me and i would rather buy a beater car with the extra cash saved for the winter and pothole roads you have. $6-8k gets you a nice older beater

Going strictly by your post it sounds like Burmester would suit you better. I have a C2S cab with no PDCC and no Burmester. I am spoiled. And, I am very happy and continually impressed with my 991. The Bose, which I have, is good for me but may not impress an audiophile. The ride and handling I love with no PDCC. In all fairness I haven't driven PDCC but I am loving my car without it.
I ordered Burmester no PDCC, but that is my preference. The right answer for you is to get what you want - not what others are passionate about. Either way, experience both if you haven't. In all likelhood the correct answer will jump out at you.
