C4S fuel gauge issue solution, finally!

So the saga went on after a calibration & a software upgrade; ran out of gas on a freeway with more than 1/4 tank on the gauge with 102 miles on the range! Took it in to the dealer again. They contacted Porsche, and the Porsche now has a bulletin on this issue that has not been released to the public yet. My dealer followed that bulletin instruction, and redid wiring on the sensor, and recalibrated. I just spent several hours driving and monitoring the fuel gauge, and for the first time I git it down to near-empty with range of 26 miles without running out of gas!!! I hope this finally resolved this very annoying issue!

When the light turns on, how much fuel should there be in the tank when everything is working correctly?

That will depend on how you drive especially for C4S since at that level, I'm told that it's a calculation rather than actual measurement. Based on last night's experience, as the light came on, it had about 60 miles remaining.

Well, I thought the question was how much "fuel" not mileage ...anyway all's good!

You're absolutely right! I was fixated on the range because I was staring at it for two hours to make sure it was going down!

I refueled shortly after the light came on today (first time I let it get this low), range remaining was around 62 miles, and it took 14.1 gallons to refuel. From what I can tell it appears to be working as expected.
