Sport Design Steering Wheel

Finally, my C4S order has locked with a build date of 3/15, it is MT with a SD steering wheel and black on black. I have opted for the Alcantara gear **** and want to replace the existing SD steeting wheel for an Alcantara SD steering wheel. I have investigated the OEM options and it has come down to trying a 997.2 GT3 RS4 SD steering wheel (Alcantara) or GTS SD (Alcantara). These are special order items, so I cannot even try it.

I know this is a long shot but has anyone tried one of these? Or another 997 SD steering wheel on a 991?

Unfortunately, they don't... Thanks to my investigation they have to remove the option from their website.

The 997 options were recommended by them...

When I ordered my car I forgot to order the SD wheel. When you get the wheel you want I would be willing to buy yours. If you are interested, let me know.---I just reread your post, won't work, I've got pdk.

Check out the custom wheels by Vivid racing in the vendor classified section. You can customise your SD wheel in a multitude of ways. I got mine from there and am very happy with it.

Suncoast told me that the 997 and 991 steering wheels have different part numbers. They did not think they were interchangeable. The 991 wheel is priced higher, that's why I asked.

With the upcoming release of the 991 GT3, perhaps there will be an alcantara option for the 991.

Check out Carnewal.com. Gert has many steering wheel options for most 911 models. I got a leather/carbon paddle shifting wheel for my 996 TT from him. His service is great.

Yes, that is my understanding on the part numbers. There will probably be one for the 991 at some point. The question for me is when. I am also investigating custom cover options such as exlusiveoption.com, DBYT recently had his center console covered with leather and completed with deviated stitching. They may be able to replace the leather on my steering wheel with alcantara. Will report back when I have some more specifics.
