Hi I am very interested to a set of Carrera classic wheels as my rear Sport Technos do not have matching sized PSS tires..

Please PM me if you decide to sell these wheels....

Thanks!

i have planned on selling the classic carrera wheels, but am thinking that it may be good to put some tires on them and use them as either a track/autocross set or even a winter set.

i don't know much about what kind of tires to use for daily driving, winter driving, or track use (much more familiar with offroading tires). so, before i sell them, what do you guys think i should do with the 20" classic carrera wheels?

1. keep them and use them with winter tires
2. keep them and use them as a track/autocross set
3. sell them and get a lighter weight track wheel/tires. if so, should i go with 19" or 20"? if 19", OEM vs aftermarket? also, any tire recommendations?

much thanks in advance!

Damon said the Toyos are decent in the rain but hopefully I won't find out!
Great...as long as you dont need to drive on them to the track in the rain you will be fine.

You certainly have the talent that outperforms the stock tires...so its a good move.

I will miss getting passed by you when you are promoted early this year...you have made impressive progress over the three seasons.

I just noticed the 911 turbo does not even offer 20" wheels, only 19". Does that mean 19" is better for the track?

For you folks using r888 on 19s, what size tires are you running?

Thanks.

I thought the ADO8Rs would have a noticeable advantage in dry grip over PSS. Good feedback.

Unfortunately not. They have stiffer sidewalls and 'square shoulders' and they do not become 'greasy' as quickly as PSS, but 10 minutes into a session (tires at temperature and not slippery like the PSS tends to be after 15-20 min), I would say that the Michelin and Yokos have the same grip.

I was set of AD08Rs, but might rethink getting some PSS instead since they will last longer and are a bit more street friendly as I hate changing wheels over after track days, LOL, yes Im lazy.
