Looks like Porsche is embracing all of the technology available to make it a spectacular track performer. Has 4 wheel steering ever been successfully implemented on any other high performance car? Unfortunately all of the additional technology just might make the driver occupy a more secondary role. I for one would like to find out for myself. Ha!

Beautiful car. Great video on the microsite. Although my head almost exploded when I watched the drivetrain video. They mention the PDK shift lever will be in line with all other motorsports where it is pull back to upshift. Why the FU#K don’t they do this with the Carrera s? It is my biggest gripe about the car. That they gave it those darn buttons and the PDK shifter is opposite every other race car. I cannot tell you how many time I pull back thinking I am going to upshift only for the car to shift into 1st at 6,000 RPM. Just drives me nuts.

Great video. This car is going to be awesome.
I will love “donut mode”. Pull back both paddles at the same time and it disengages the clutch.
“7 speed is not an overdrive”
475 hp is a “very conservative figure”… nice
0-200 km per hour is 11 sec!

I thought the Acura NSX had 4 wheel steering. Not 100% sure. I remember Honda Prelude did (not a high performer).
Listen to the video and he explains it.

Wait how things work when turning at 30mph (where the rear wheels turn opposite to front) and accelerating to higher speeds (like a long bend). I would imagine changing the direction of the rear wheels mid turn would upset the car? Or am I wrong?
Also, what do the two buttons on the bottom left of the center console say??

The new 2014 RLX (prior version was the RL) has precision all wheel steering (PAWS). In recent tests at Laguna Seca, the press praised the system & even more so prototypes of the upcoming model which includes Acura's SH-AWD (super handling all wheel drive).
Too bad the car is such a "yawn" to look at!
The 2015 NSX will include all wheel steering (and a double clutch auto) according to what I've read.
The new GT3 will be a game changer.

I have a sneaking suspicion that '475HP Maximum' will not equate to '475HP Standard' for $130k. My bet, and God I hope I'm wrong, is that it's going to take an X-51 type package to get the power up to 475.
