Full clear bra wrap + 9500ci pics from Premier

Following up on my 'new owner' post a few weeks ago, I've finally got some pics of the wrap and 9500 install from Premier. They completed the job a couple weeks ago, but I had to go on an over-seas business trip right after they finished.

Really happy with the quality of work done by the team, it was really hard for me to find any seams, only noticeable in a few spots that only I'll ever see. The mirror is one of those, they couldn't wrap the entire thing, so there's a seam that's slightly visible when the car is dirty (more so because it's a white car). They removed all the badging from the vehicle and then re-applied them, so there are no seams around them, which is a very nice touch. The 9500ci install is really well done as well, the control unit is mounted in the coin dish and the speaker + LED are in the left hand vent. I've been able to test it a few times already, definitely saved my bacon last night in Half Moon Bay. Side bonus: my wife was driving it while I was away and kept get getting tagged by CHP, but she had no idea and was just freaked out by the very loud "RRRRRR K-BAND RRRRR K-BAND," so now she's afraid to drive it. ;-)

Oh, and thanks to windboat and ECS for the tips on the Clear Side Markers, what a fabulously easy DIY upgrade.

I did saw your car when I dropped by premier 3 weeks ago. Looks good! Had tints and 9500ci done by them on my PTT few months ago as well.

I got mine done by them
On 3/1. Full front, arches, mirrors, behind rear wheels etc. I found a couple of areas that they need to touch up..strictly followed 5 days rule. I also got mine from FJ...nice guys. Nice looking ride ...congrats!

An interesting data point, I drove past a Google self driving Lexus today and I didn't get any false alarms from it's lidar. I can't say for sure it was actually running in self-driving mode, but it's laser sensor was spinning and it was driving slow in the right-hand lane. I usually see them a few times a month on 85, so I should get a few more chances to see if it gives any hits. Also have not gotten any adaptive cruise control false alarms yet either.

looks good.

its interesting that they placed ur radar receiver in the right vent rather than placing it behind the bumper..

Although 9500ci will eventually learn of all the false alarm spots and ignore it eventually.. if u r in CA, might as well turn off the x and the k band in the setting.. it will get rid of lotta false alarms

AFAIK, CA leo doesn't use x and k.. and only utilizes Ka and laser

sometimes, the 9500ci laser diffuser will get false alarms from certain vehicles' headlights and taillights

enjoy !

Yeah, I'm hoping it'll learn the false spots (or I can program them in). I definitely did get a real k-band hit by a local/county cop though, so I'm going to keep it on just for extra warning. ;-)
