Thoughts on spending for the Powerkit
Good information and a nice marketing pitch. Power is reached at 8250 rpms but it sounds fantastic between 8 and 9000 rpms. A beautiful engine note is worth its weight in gold.

I agree GT3 is a different engine for sure, and most desirable
I was always wondering though in terms of reliability
those rocker arms etc and overall is this a car
that you can buy and beat the XXXX out of it for 100K plus miles?
I know for sure the Carrera is..

Actually I stand corrected. Here is a chart of the power kit in KW/NM so we can compare it directly to the GT3 engine chart above, also in KW/NM. As you can see, the X51 kit develops more torque through out the majority of the rev range. At 2000 rpms it's 350 nm vs. 310 for the GT3, at 3000 it's 370 vs. 330 for the GT3, at 4000 rpms it's 385 vs. 330, at 5000 rpms it's 425 vs. 400, at 6000 rpms it's 435 vs. 435 dead even, at 7000 rpms it's 418 vs. 422 in favor of the GT3 and at 7500 rpms it's 400 vs. 420 in favor of the GT3.
In conclusion, the GT3's engine is even peakier than the X51 and there's less available torque through out the rev range until you get to 7000 rpms. If the argument is that the X51 can't be appreciated in day to day driving then you can take the GT3 and multiply it times a factor of 2. The GT3 is THE track missile.
