The guy probably had his stereo blaring so loud he couldn't even hear you, plus probably texting at the same time.

I park around side with the trucks. I try to park in a place that looks like management would park for a quick inspection or meeting, preferably longways against the building on the other side of the car. It's sometimes maybe an extra 5 seconds to walk in. It works

Great Tom Mabe video. Although he needs to learn that it is not Porsh. Tom, Learn to pronounce the car you own. Damn, that is annoying.

It's not the car, it's the a**hole driving. My wife insists that my Porsche is an a**hold magnet. Every time we are out some idiot wants to race, needs to get a real close look (while driving) or has suddenly obtained a desire to hike (parks next to my baby in the parking lot hinterlands).

Here's the answer: by definition, the average IQ is 100, meaning that half the folks are below and half are above. If I may, how about if we consider that common sense and driving ability are similarly distributed?
You hit the nail on the head on all fronts. Most drivers are absolutely horrible.

Parking

i parked way off in the very back of the supermarket parking lot which had a wall on the right side of the spot which I parked very close too in case somebody pulled an ahole move I would still have space between our cars, (and there was plenty of spaces available all around the lot, so I thought it'd be a non issue.. Wrong)
I came back twenty minutes later and an old POS Honda civic had parked on my drivers side so close I thought I might have to climb in the window. (I have a seriously herniated L5/S1 Disc for the last 18 months and this incident set it back quite a bit having to squeeze in
So irritating

Sorry for your experience. Having a bad back also, I can relate to you experience. It is amazing how people are willing to walk considerably farther just to park next to us.

I never park it far away.
- doing so is just a idiot magnet like you experience.
- Porsche is a car....

I park like everyone... find a spot close to the store entrance.
- avoid tight spot.... anyway porsche door are long and it's hard to get out of the car in tight spot
- those idiots are a small minority.
- people are respectful. they will see the nice car next to their car. they will pay more attention than if it was any other car.
- those idiots who want to park really close to you won't be able to do so. simply because there is no spot available next to your car...
- chances are, when you will leave the store, it will be the 2 same cars next to you...

colonel is infamous around these parts
Too bad If all people are like us, there wouldn't be a thing called door dings.

Don't you hate it if a giant suburban or pathfinder armada park next to you and a bunch of kids kick the doors to open to get out. Or some women park their cars 6 inches from you.

What a nightmare.

This. I've never had much of an issue, and that's living and parking in Berkeley/Emeryville/SF which are notoriously hard on cars.
