My Custom Escort 9500Ci Installation
Thank you to all who have already posted photos of their installations. Your photos were very helpful.
But I did something slightly different. To each his own, but for me this seemed to work better. No wires anywhere, everything is flush-mounted, wires come from behind each panel. Blue led readout is up above the mirror. Control module is directly behind the right hand when it's on the wheel. The alert light (Green is normal, red is OH MY!!!) is in your field of vision, at the bottom right in the gauge cluster:

First, no it's not hard to read. It's just above the rearview mirror.
Second, there's not much to read. The alert goes off and you can usually tell by the sound what's happening. Then, if you want to, you glance up and read it. Takes .4 seconds.
Of course I'm always amazed at these discussions where guys seem to need all kinds of information like what radar band is it or where the arrows are pointing or mentally process whether it's a double-slap trap .... all this BEFORE they hit the brakes. I lift and hit the brakes first; then ask questions.
I've owned 14 Porsches since 1974 and braking first, asking later works for me. I haven't had a speeding ticket in 16 years.
