took the car out of winter hibernation on thursday and friday morning installed the lights from Suncoast.
also think i have finalized the use of the S logo - didn't look good against red lights but with the clears it seems to work a lot better:

it is almost too monochromatic with the lenses; does make the basalt black look more like the gray which is nice.
the "S" is an official Porsche design - that notched version is from the 996 4s era.

i had the clear tail lights on my turbo, but after a while i swapped back to the red. Porsche put too much red in the old clears imo.
these versions have so much more detail in the patterns than the old as well. they remnd me of a beautiful herringbone textile weave. overall, by going clear they don't disappear, they just bring out another detail perspective.

that was my inital thought, but my dealor has a used Lime gold, or whatever Porsche called that new colour, anyway, the red lights are fighting with that colour so much, a set of these clears would settle the whole back end down and i think that could apply to a lot of colours,
I like it. But it is going to work better on some color combo's than on others. For mine, with the red/black interior, red in the badges and on the brakes, I think that red works better. On lime gold (not my favorite color) or on red, or even on a white/black car, I think that they might be an improvement. On yours, I think it looks great either way.
Looks great!!

Firstly, well done for being brave and trying different combos.
Just my opinion and its based on not seeing it for real. I'm leaning more towards the red light and without the red S. The clear lights on basalt look a tad ghostly.... Having stated that my impression my change if I see it for real.
In either case I think it looks better with just the 911 (no red S).
