I think he mentioned the dealer tinted the windows for him. No, it does not come tinted like that from the factory

991 C2 in Rhodium spotted today at Porsche Zentrum Osnabruck in Germany. It is not as blue as Polar Silver, that is for sure. There is a blue hue in some angles and shades. Rhodiumsilber is close to pure cold silver, sparkles like a diamond in the sun, and is more shiny than GT Silver...

Rhodium looks really promising! I stopped by the dealer this weekend hoping to see it in the flesh but alas they don't have any yet. I did see a Classic Silver Cayenne, which is a really nice white silver, I would not hesitate to order this color if it was available. Rhodium looks pretty similar from the samples posted earlier, but you never know until you see it in person. If anyone has seen Rhodium and Classic on actual cars in person, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how they compare.

I also saw a GT Silver C4S at the dealer and it was drop-dead gorgeous. If Rhodium doesn't live up to expectations I'll probably grit my teeth and pay the extra $2430 for it.

Thanks for the pics T-clubsport!
I haven't seen Rhodium yet but from my experience, Porsche silvers like platinum and GT look very pure under the white lights on the showroom floor.
Take them outside and they change dramatically, platinum is warmer with a gold hue, and GT is colder with a greyish hue.
My guess is that Rhodium has a strong blue hue outside.
Cant wait for more quality pics from actual owners.

I'm going to try and hold off all long as I can. Maybe after 3 tickets i'll consider putting it on. It just looks so nice without it.

I agree !

When I had my Boxster S I didn't have a front plate and was incident free for the 4 years of ownership. In my 911, at first I didn't have a front plate. I got stopped the first week, got a warning. Then got a ticket after a few months. Went to the dealership and had them install the front plate. It was actually a relief putting the front plate (although it sucked from an aesthetic point of view) - I didn't have to hold my breath every time I saw a police car driving in the opposite direction hoping they wouldn't do a U-turn and stop me!

Incidently, got 3 speeding tickets in the 911 and none in 4 years of Boxster ownership ! Drove them both the same, maybe just bad luck !

@Galion: I went to the store in Osnabruck Germany, and there was no artificial lighting. The roof of the temporary garage is of glass, as the showroom is under construction. The photos are taken with a Leica 35mm on a bluebird day. Outside in direct sun it is pure white silver, in the shade the blue hue might appear slightly in some angles. The blue hue is probably stronger on a cloudy day though. I first ordered my 991 in GT-silver, but now have no regrets changing to Rhodium. Believe me, I've doubted every day since my order in April. Side by side, GT looks a bit dirty. The only thing I like better about GT, is that the color is closer to the front light border ring on bi-xenon. However, I've added the new Full LEDs, which are probably closer to Agate.

I think some of this discussion regarding rhodium MUST have to deal with the accuracy of one's color vision. The Rhodium has never looked to me like a neutral silver. Park it next to an arctic silver and see if you strongly detect the blue. This color isn't anywhere near a neutral silver, no more so than platinum silver (beige) or agate grey (brown). I believe that the GT may look dirtier as it leans towards grey, while the rhodium leans towards light metallic blue.

So did you pick up your car yesterday? I'm looking to order the same colour combo, wheels in platinum included. Did you get the black interior? Let's see some pics of the new ride!!

Yes picked up the new ride yesterday. One of the best days of my life. 991 is amazing. Way better than I imagined. I Detailed her when I got home, but got dark before I could take proper pics. Will take more pics tomorrow after I put on clear reflectors. Rhodium is amazing in person.

Congratulations !! Awesome car! I'm heading over to Pfaff Porsche early this afternoon to test drive a couple more cars. I think they have a rhodium car in inventory that I'll check out. I'll also check out the sport exhaust. If things go well, may place an order today if there is time to negotiate.
