The paint on the 918 is called "Liquid Metal" I just saw a sample of it last week. Its freakn gorgeous! $60K.

Liquid metal is rumored to be priced at $65k on the 918, looks like it's forged out of princess Amidala's spaceship.
What kind of silver was the Turbo launched with today - rhodium?

If I HAD to guess, I would guess the foreground is Rhodium and the background is GT.
To me, the GT silver has always been a silver /grey mix. The Rhodium is looking to be more of a bluish silver.
Just my thoughts.

Thought the brightest one was white and not silver? The same cars (Turbo & Turbo S) in the official video...

Maybe this one Rhodium Silver?
Definitely not Platinum Silver...
For me, PS has that slighly yellowish color that makes the car a little dull and old.
GT Silver in real life seems more like Grey-ish color.
Mabye Rhodium is in between or somewhat bluish from all the pics!

I went to my dealer today and they just got the 2014 color sample plates, Rhodium silver looks beautiful, much nicer than my platinum silver IMO.
Under the showroom lights, Rhodium is a pure cold shiny silver, and under sunlight it looks a little bit darker but, very close to the 918 in post #14 on this thread. No gold or blue hues in it, thank you Porsche!
Just ask your dealers for their 2014 sample plates, not the best way to see the color but it can give you a pretty good idea.
My 2014 991 S will be Rhodium silver for shure.

No I didnt, but I know GT silver very well and this was different, GT has a blue-gray hint in it which is very noticeable indoors, I grabbed the plate and walked all over the place trying to figure out how the different lighting conditions affect the color, the Rhodium plate looked more silver to me.
