Do you lift you accelerator foot?
OK, so passed my break-in miles and have been using manual shifting on my PDK. Question is, do you take your foot off the accelerator when you shift up or down? Guess it is an old habit of mine to lift up my right foot when I shift from my old clutch days. I guess with modern cars, it is not necessary -- or is it??? What does everyone else do?

I was lifting my foot when test driving a PDK and the sales rep pointed out what I was doing -- old habits from driving a stick shift die hard. From that point on, I kept the pedal down. The PDK system is amazing.
I lifted when I test drove too and didn't think the car shifted very fast, even in Sport Plus. My Sales Rep told me to leave my foot in it, which I did, and shifts became lightning quick. PDK is fantastic, but I still ended up building my car with a MT.
No need to take it off during gear changes, the gear changes are happening fast enough.
An interesting fact though which I just saw in the brochure, if you are cruising and you take your foot off the accelerator, PDK deselects current gear and puts the car into neutral until you press the acceleration or break again.....called Coasting.
