I think he thought your lease proposal was not in 12 month increments IE: 27 months, 39 months etc instead of 24/36/48.... but indeed your quote was for 2 years.

I was referring to the other folks that did have 27 month leases. Those folks will be paying for another years registration for only three months of use. If that was in CA, it is an expensive mistake.......ask me how I know?......doh!

I was planning to purchase my ordered C2S, but I've had a change of heart and am intending to lease. The dealer shocked me with a $2,478/month payment for 24/12,000 with $3,678 down to cover fees and 1st payment. I'm probably missing MRM in my calculation. Here are the numbers I came up with:

MSRP: $134,575
Residual Percentage: 73%
Residual Value: $98,234.75
Percent off MSRP: 6.00%
Negotiated Price: $126,500.50
Down Payment: $0
Net Cap Cost (Neg. Price – Down Payment): $126,500.50
Depreciation: $28,265.75
Lease Term: 24 Months
Monthly Depreciation Payment: $1,177.74

Finance Cost = Net Cap Cost + Residual: $224,735.25
Interest Rate (APR): 4.80%
Money Factor: 0.0020
Monthly Finance Fee: $449.47

Monthly Payment: $1,627.21
Sales Tax 6%: $97.64
Total Monthly Payment: $1,724.85

Title, Registration, and Other Fees: $1,055.20
Incentives/Rebates: $0 (Assuming there are none.)

Drive-off (1st month’s payment + Fees): $2,780.05

Where have my calculations gone wrong?
Thanks for your input.

I have also heard they will forgive the last 12 months and overmileage if you either trade up to another porsche, or sell it outright on your own. So it begs the question that if you want to stay with porsche, go for a 2yr 5k/yr lease and turn it in after a year...

You are way off in the residual- MRM on a 2014 C2S is 119800 so your residual should be 87454 or about 11k less...

You can rebuild your lease with the MRM and get the correct payment.

Ah... Thanks for the help. That makes more sense now. Leasing and X51 don't play nicely. The dealer is probably calculating a slightly lower residual percentage combined with higher MF to arrive at their nearly $2,500/month. Purchasing it is.

MSRP: $134,575
Maximum Residualized MSRP: $119,800
Residual Percentage: 73%
Residual Value: $87,454
Percent off MSRP: 6.00%
Negotiated Price: $126,500.50
Down Payment: $0
Net Cap Cost (Neg. Price – Down Payment): $126,500.50
Depreciation: $39,046.50
Lease Term: 24 Months
Monthly Depreciation Payment: $1,626.94

Finance Cost = Net Cap Cost + Residual: $213,954.50
Interest Rate (APR): 4.80%
Money Factor: 0.0020
Monthly Finance Fee: $427.91

Monthly Payment: $2,054.85
Sales Tax: 6%: $123.30
Total Monthly Payment: $2,178.15

Title, Registration, and Other Fees: $1,055.20
Incentives/Rebates: $0 (Assuming there are none.)

Drive-off (1st month’s payment + Fees): $3,233.35

FYI - the manual 2013 C4S cab rates for November are: (1% higher than PDK)

10k miles/year - 71% 24 months / 69% 27 months
-1% for 12k miles per year
-3% for 15k miles per year.
+1% for 7500 miles per year
+2% for 5000 miles per year

New rates come out soon, likely with lower residuals for the 2013s.

Depends if you can find a 13 or you get a 14' 13 base cars are 5 points higher on residual. My deal was a 104k sticker , neg purchase of 93k, one pay lease for 24months was 23,560. Granted it is only 5k a year in mileage but overage is only 30 cents a mile, so I will cut them a check for 3k or so when I turn it in. Plus I track this car so it's getting a workout. Base models have the highest residual.

Is it normal to negotiate 6% off MSRP or am I missing something?
