Hey guys, I finally put my C2S order in for a 2014!

Well, as you guys know, been mulling over it for a lot of months now trying to figure out what options I could get for a 2014. After dealing with a number of dealers over here in Cali and going back and forth, I got a good deal on a 2014 ordered this last Saturday.

Anyways, just want to let everyone know I'm in. Now the wait starts.

I got blk/blk, spasm, pse, pdk, and a host of other goodies.

Thanks so much everyone for the help to choose my options over the last few months, but it was kinda fun trying to figure all of this out.

Hi Frank - I am considering doing the same thing here. I would either get a 2013 off the lot or try to build a 2014. My understanding is that there is virtually no differences between the two model year? Like you if I order a 2014, I can get exactly what I want, and that is tempting! Congratulations, how long is your wait?

about 3+ months. As far as 2014, ya. no diff except you don't get the depreciations of the 2013, and you don't have the LED light option if that's what you want. But for your 2014, you know what your getting and you know the vehicle history, unlike a used 2013. You'll find it fun building what you want for your hard earned money and eagerly waiting. Just some thoughts...

Thank for the information. Interesting they would stop offering LED while it is more common, must be very few that orders the option.
Do you mind sharing with me how much discounts you were able to get?

Frank, one personal question, if you don't mind. Well, actually, two: Are you a repeat Porsche customer and, if so, were you able to get a discount off MSRP? Or, as a new buyer, did you get a percentage discount off MSRP? I ask because I am a new buyer with no prior history with the marque or with my dealership and was given 2% off MSRP for my 2014 order. I'm just checking to see if I got a fair deal or if I could've done better.

Hi Frank, can you PM me some of your details as well (I don't have a high enough post count to send you a separate PM)? Thx, -SCR

Congratulations! Sounds like an awesome build. I took my 991 C2 to work today for the first time and it was fun to watch the employees walk by and oogle at it.

Its one awesome machine. I do love the led lighting. soft but bright. It gives a very nice ambiance.

best of luck.

They didn't stop offering it. What I was referring to was the difference between the 2013 and 2014 are some options. Like full LED headlights as an example option.

A 3+ month wait isn't so bad in my books!

I probably won't be driving mine to work because I'll have all my coworkers ask me or question how much money I make or what other business do I have on the side
