Best towels for wipe-downs
So, I usually use the Zaino Border Free Towels, but they never have them in stock:

Plus, they are expensive as hell for just 3 of them.
I tried the Costco yellow ones
, but wondering what other alternatives people have for scratch free quick wipe-downs.

I use my Makita 18V blower and love The Absorber PVA Drying Towel. For final wipe down I use cotton baby diapers or microfiber towels, though the latter aren't very absorbent. Nothing absorbs like The Absorber as it is like a synthetic chamois, but more absorbent and easier to use than a natural chamois.
Most important thing is to rinse the car with deionized water.

I use the leaf blower also but I purchased 2 of the 20x44 cobra guzzlers from autopia-carcare.com. I am not affiliated with them but they seem to have a lot of good products and ship fast.
They also have edgeless micro fiber towels called (woobies ) you can get them in 3 packs.

I love my detailers domain large drying towels but for a quick Z6 I used to use baby diapers with good results until I switched to the towels Zaino sells.

I've been considering the Makita but the reviews say its more like a "hair dryer". In your experience, does it have enough power and battery juice to thoroughly dry the entire car?
Thanks
In Vermont I have a wired electric blower that's got more power but even then it really doesn't dry the car. Mostly sheets off the water but I still usually need to go over the surfaces with a diaper or a microfiber towel.
I find that the large rubber sheets that stay moist inside their container really absorb the best, squeeze out easily, wash up easily, and only leave a little bit of wet behind to be polished off using a finishing cloth like microfiber or my favorite, diapers. The rubber sheet I use is called The Absorber but there are several brands that are pretty much indistinguishable and are equally effective.
If you do some research on microfiber towels, you'll find that there's a wide quality range to choose from. The cheapie stuff from costco and amazon are okay for some things (I use them on my wheels), but I don't let them touch the body. I buy most of my towels from Pak Shak, current favorite is the "Green Flash", not cheap but very good.

I use these from Autogeek.net on paint only: http://www.autogeek.net/cobra-microfiber-towel.html. They are incredibly plush and soft. They are a decent value when you purchase in packs of 6. I use The yellow Costco ones for wheels.
Probably, I looked silly already drying my car with a leaf blower. I think my neighbors will really think I've lost it if they see me with a bag of cotton diapers.
