Yes!! I'm in... twice!
Yeah, there is really nothing too special about the 50th edition. Or get the 50th Edition and get some other car. Two identical 991 is not a waste of money (since they are nice cars), but a little redundant.
Leave the poor girl alone. She knows what she wants and it really isn't important what YOU want. She never asked for advice in the first place.
We are not being mean to her at all!!
Just expressing some opinion.
If I had all the money in the world. I would buy every 911 model with different colors.
Suzy, if you were offended at all, I sincerely apologize.

I can handle some meanings, it doesn't affect my decisions, or they have to be really good! Maybe than I will consider....[Sent from my iPad using 6SpeedOnline]
Seriously... Since when do we females think logically?!
No, just kidding. I really thought about this over and over and I know exactly what you mean. I agree with you that it's not really the car that is most value, but the loving memory. It's just that I want this really bad, not only for myself but for him and for my mother too, because it gives me the good feeling of doing something for him in my mind. He would have wanted me to enjoy what I do.
I know it's not logic to buy two of almost the same cars at once. But that just happened to be the thing we both (my girlfriend and I) like most.
If I had only the sightest doubts that it wouldn't be affordable or it should get us in trouble, than I definitly wouldn't do it. Maybe time will prove it to be not the right choice... I don't know. But if I don't do it, I'll never know for sure. For now I feel it's just the right thing for us to do.
Allthought I appreciate your concerns. Thank you for that

For the most part when it comes to financial spending it's usually the woman who is in fact the most economically logical .. WITH HER OWN MONEY .
It is rare that a woman will go into a Porsche dealership and buy even one Porsche 911 but I think you might actually break a 6speedonline record by buying two simulataneously .
That said .. I realize you have spent a lot of time trying to process the loss and consider the car that your brother would have loved . If I recall reading correctly . he passed away at 16 ? If that's the case .. did you ever wonder what he might have said about buying the car at age 50 or 60 ?
My point is that most adults can think back to a time when they were 16 but our priorities changed as we aged and faced the challenges of maturity . It's just something to consider .
There's no logic to female buying pattern. My wife buy the same shoes or bags in just different color. After 20+ years of marriage, I still don't get it. But buying the similar car in different color ..... I somehow get it
Congrats Suzy!

Congrats Suzy!
:thumbsup:I know it doesn't make sense to most people, but for me it does make sense and that's what matters

And IMHO the cars are not really identical. One is a sporty coupe with a manual and lowered suspension, the other is a bit more luxurious cabriolet with PDK and a bit more comfortable for daily use than the coupe. But maybe that's just female logic... I don't know

The gender streotype (of woman =illogical) must have been invented by an insecure individual who simply didn't take the time to listen .

I really do not understand why you are trying to talk her out of buying the cars she wants to buy. I am sure she has thought about this long and hard, and this not something she is doing on impulse. In fact she is doing this because it is something dear to her heart. Obviously, if she could not afford to do it, she wouldn't.

My priorities haven't changed at all. In fact, as I age I feel how my time on this earth is becoming more limited so I want to own and enjoy wonderful cars while I still have my health.
I think Suzy knows just how suddenly life can change so I think she is also trying to live in the moment. Like I said before, You go, girl!
I could save the money and hope that I get to the age of 60 and then buy 10 porsches. But what if I don't get to that age? I can afford it now and I want to enjoy it now, before it's to late.

That's exactly how I see it... Life can change in a blink of the eye and I'm not saying that I live every day as if it was my last, but I sure try to enjoy life as much as possible, without overdoing it.

I said that I like to enjoy life without overdoing it... So the answer is no
Don't worry Jeff, I'm used to it. Can handle that kind of comments and this one was probably intended as a joke I think (or hope...)
But I have to agree it's getting a bit off-topic and going downhill

It was clearly a joke!! Meant to say that I am happy that financially capable of doing this. Not many people can buy a Porsche, not to say two.
It wasn't meant to be any sarcastic comment or harmful. It would be the same joke as asking if someone would adopt me as his/her son.
anyway, maybe I have a bad sense of humor. I will actually take your advise and unsubscribe. This is way too serious.
Suzy, Thank you for not taking the comment and joke seriously. They are meant to be helpful and maybe provide a little laugh. Enjoy these 2 amazing cars when they arrive!
