PDCC on 991
PDCC on 991
Hi everyone,
I am ordering the 991 50 edition. All my option are set except for the PDCC.
Can owners of 991 chip in on their experience and thoughts on PDCC.?
Is there a significant improvement on the road handling with the PDCC?
Where i live, there isnt much chance to enjoy open roads or good mountain rd as there is almost non existance. I dont track . I plan to use this car as a 2 nd car.
Your input is much appreciated

If you will have the opportunity to drive you 911 fast in a turn, go for the PDCC, otherwise (or if you always stay under 60mph) don't. There is a noticeable difference in body roll and how planted the car feels.
I guess You will get the usual feedback that modern gizmo's (PDK, PDCC, (s)PASM, electrical steering) are ruining the 991 experience... This is one school of thought. If you are wiling to embrace technology and progress to get a more competent and faster car that you can push further, check all the boxes

I have PDCC on my '13 991S Cab. It handles/corners far flatter than my '04 996 Turbo Cab with PSS10's. Far more comfortable in the corners. I don't track but really enjoy the great handling with it.
I agree with previous posters and will add that PDCC with SPASM is IMO a fantastic combo. Suggest you do a search on this forum for more info as much has been debated.
I am entirely convinced of its usefulness on the Non GT Carreras. Anything that keeps the car flatter has obvious benefits which range from better tire wear to speed through corners.

I also have the 911 50th and I have driven both and PDCC does work. You can turn it off I think if you want to feel the car "sway" a bit. I believe in technology though so I have it, also have SPASM and LED's. Would bet ceramic's too but gotta set some limits.

Just a correction. PDCC is activated and constantly adjusted automatically depending on driving conditions and other modes chosen. It is not switchable by the driver on or off.
You can not turn it on or off. I have it and like it a lot but if I didn't track the car, I probably would skip it (unless cost is not of concern). $4k is a lot and on the street I would prefer the swaying feeling.
Thk you all so much for the respond. You guys have been so helpful.
I am also wondering does the PDCC improve the ride over poth holes or does it make the ride stiffer?
I have not decided yet on the PDCC.

save yourself over 3k and don't get it unless you track your car.
Wasn't it you who stated....

OP, this topic has been beaten to death and the naysayers are the ones who have not got PDCC. I know you asked the opinion of those of who have PDCC. Try it for yourself if you can and be happy with your choice.
